ImmerGo will soon enable you to have your game audio generated by speakers, providing a more realistic audio experience and allowing you to share the audio with fellow game players. This capability has been enabled by utilizing game object coordinates in Unity to direct localization, and writing plugins for the FMOD game audio suite that allow for transmission of multiple channels of audio to the Ethernet AVB network.

As a game developer, you would, on a PC workstation:

  • Create your game objects in Unity, as usual, and associate the appropriate audio events
  • Add the ImmerGo and ASIO FMOD plugins to FMOD
  • Load the ImmerGo server with your speaker positions
